Staff were plentiful and helpful  Great location

Very nice hotel in a beautiful beachside setting, great transport hub as Dawlish Warren train station is 5-10 min walk which allows great travel to either paignton or you can go opposite direction too Exeter. Eating out is good lots of restaurants around and the Boathouse pub on beach front is a good price and great food. The hotel offers great food also and Evening 4 course meal is a good selection and priced £37, the hotel has great facilities and the Heated pool is very nice. Rooms are clean and tidy and are very spacious and have Tea and Coffee supplied with biscuits. Overall well worth a stay and would definitely visit again.

This is our second stay at this lovely hotel, the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble if you require any help. Our room had a good view of the sea and the sunrise. The bathroom looked brand new, with plenty of towel rails, shelves and grab handles to get into the bath for a shower ( my wife said it must have been designed by a practical woman, she was delighted ). The lounges were very comfortable and the dining room spacious with meals being served by the staff and also buffet style. The food was excellent and the menu was changed every day with a great choice of meats, vegetables and a vegetarian option. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Langstone Hotel is probably one of the best located hotels for exploring Dawlish/Dawlish Warren. We arrived early but were greeted by a friendly and welcoming receptionist. It was busy but expected as it was bank holiday. We found a table underneath the veranda which was lovely and there was water available and a bar where you could also purchase tea/cake. We wandered into Dawlish Warren which was an easy ish (1 big slope down to start)walk down from the hotel to the beach etc Trains run constantly from the bottom of the hotel grounds, you can hear/see them but not intrusive. Our room was a good size, double bed, tv, drawer/dresser unit with stool, wardrobe and small table and chair. (Could do with 2 chairs for a double and there’s room) Bath with good shower over. Everything clean and tidy. Bed comfortable. We opted for a meal in the evening which was buffet style for the main and a good choice and very nice. Lovely sea wall walk into Dawlish and train station short walk from hotel. Ideal hotel for location but busy with children and dogs during school holidays.

Very disappointing meal in the restaurant... we had phoned and booked a table...they didn't have a table reserved for us but we managed to get a table. No tablecloths on tables yet the room next door where coach parties were in, there were table cloths on their tables. Starter was OK cannelloni. Then my husband had roast beef and I had seabass. We doubt very much that the roast beef was from a joint, pre sliced pre cooked catering pack more like (I used to work in catering/hospitality so know what I'm talking about). The roast potatoes were black and then something indescribable was black.(we later found out they were sauted potatoes) seabass was swimming in oil. Broccoli was overcooked. I had apple crumble and custard which was nice, my husband had cheese and biscuits. No one asked if we'd like a drink, we had to ask for one. Meals were served very quickly and were hot. We were very disappointed. Not as good as when we previously ate there 2 years ago. When we complained to reception, the lady did deduct the cost of one main course. Would we eat there again....unfortunately not

We went for a special family Sunday lunch n 16/11. The food was poor, veg choices awful. When we got home we all had very upset stomachs. We were so disappointed, we will not go or recommend again ☹️
